Model AnswerThere is a well-defined intramedullary lesion involving the proximal femur.The lesion has a ground-glass matrix appearance.There is expansion of the bone with cortical thinning.No obvious periosteal reaction or cortical destruction.No soft tissue mass is seen.There is exaggerated varus deformity (“shepherd’s crook deformity” ).Overall appearance is suggestive of a benign fibro-osseous lesion.

The radiographic appearance most strongly suggests fibrous dysplasia.
